Producer's notes: "We are delighted to offer you an allocation of our 2019 Sea Spray Blanc de Noirs. A true labor of love, the 2019 vintage was hand harvested with careful cluster selection from a handful of blocks across our estate vineyard. The wine spends 12 months sur lie in barrel, 36 months en tirage, and an additional 10 months under cork just for good measure – and to ensure it reaches your holiday table ready to enjoy. The 2019 vintage was widely considered to be one of the best in recent history in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA with a long, cool growing season. Our 2019 Sea Spray perfectly encapsulates the grace and freshness of the vintage with notes of blueberries and rose petal on the nose and lithe minerality on the palate. Not yet reviewed; 2018 vintage rated 96 points by Anna Lee Iijima (Decanter): "Irrepresibly fruity yet piercing and racy too, this méthode traditionnelle blanc de noir made from 100% Pinot Noir highlights tropical notes of pineapple and melon alongside pert red cherry and strawberry. Ruffled with streaks of biscuit and brioche, it's opulent and rich yet boasts a pinpoint precision and delicate, racing perlage. The finish is long and sonorous, lingering on hints of crushed berries and edges of salt and chalk. A non-dosage sparkling vinified in stainless steel and matured sur lie in neutral French oak barrels. Aged 36 months on lees prior to disgorging with 10 months under cork prior to release. Drinking Window: 2024-2034."
