96 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Pittermännchen GG offers a deep, pure, intense, flinty-scented bouquet of ripe mirabelles and crushed stones. Very firm and tight on the palate, this is a pure and saline yet currently ascetic and even drying Riesling with a long and tensioned finish yet still not showing the dimensions it really has. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022. Drink: 2026-2050. (12/30/22)"

95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Some people say that dry riesling GGs are big wines, and that that isn’t a very German thing for a wine to be. But then you find a delicate and fragile beauty like this, which shows how this category can be all about mineral freshness and racy refreshment. Excellent aging potential! Drink or hold. (9/22/22)"

92 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 25 22. The 2021er GG Riesling Pittermännchen, as it is referred to on the consumer label, offers a beautifully complex even if still restrained nose of candied grapefruit, pineapple, thyme, rosemary, white minerals, and anise. The wine has good presence and structure on the palate, and is lifted up by zesty tension and spices. The finish proves impactful and hugely long in a more imposing way. The after-taste is all about fresh spices and lime. This has all the elements to age gracefully and turn out as a great dry wine driven by zesty tension. 2026-2036. (Aug 2022)"

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$80 list] The powerful acidity still needs more time to integrate, but this spiced and rich-tasting Riesling shows nice complexity with mouth-coating texture, plenty of savory mineral and flavors of ripe peach, pear tart and dried apricot. The complexity keeps playing out on the finish. Best after 2027. Alcohol 12%. (Mar 2024)"
