98 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 26 19. The 2018er Lieserer Niederberg Helden Riesling BA was harvested at a whopping 180° Oechsle and was fermented down to noble-sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a stunning nose of dried fruits, baked date, almond paste marzipan, herbs and spices. The wine is stunningly well balanced on the palate, where an unctuous sense of creaminess is nicely framed by some ripe acidity. The finish is incredibly pure and rewarding. On the palate, this cast of characters is accompanied by a remarkable alliance of textural creaminess with animation, while hints of candied grapefruit peel are joined by tinglingly fresh juicy citricity to complement the prominent dried fruit character and offset sweetness. Nut pastes and salted caramel add mouthwateringly savory complexity even more multi-leveled than that of the corresponding Juffer-Sonnenuhr. The complex and vibrant nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of mirabelle, pear, mango, fresh mint, orange blossoms and honey. On the palate the wine is full, complex and gloriously glazed, with very good acids, exquisite focus and balance and a long, zesty and utterly refined finish. Great juice. 2023-2100. (Mar/Apr 2019)"
