It’s round and pliant in feel, with a core of intense dark red and blue fruits that slowly saturate the palate. The Podere dei Blumeri finishes on a slightly bitter note, full of citrus and tart wild berry concentration, but also with a web of fine tannins. The 2018 really tempts the imagination. I’d love to revisit it in another three to four years. This is a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. Drink 2025-2032 (Apr 2023)"
