97 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Aromas of red-fleshed peaches, wild herbs and a touch of yellow grapefruit. This is a complex and complete dry Nahe riesling. Underplayed power and concentration that build impressively in the very long, driving finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink from release. (9/6/24)"
94+ points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Tim Fröhlich's 2023 Halenberg GG is cool, smoky and flinty on the elegant nose that reveals iodine and yeasty aromas. Elegant and well-balanced on the palate, this is a full-bodied and juicy but not very vibrant Riesling that is, however, far from being bulky. The wine is somehow discreet and not yet developing, but it's doubtlessly elegant and provided with a salty-spicy finish and sustainable length. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024. Drink: 2028-2044. (10/31/24)"
94 points Fine Wine Review: "Leesy nose. Intense, concentrated mouth, pure, clear, white fruits, incipient peach. (9/16/24)"
93 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 19 24. The Halenberg 2023 Riesling GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, shows a very primary and reductive nose of wild herbs, smoke, and hot spices, before developing more elegant notes of white pepper, yellow flowers, almond cream, violet, cassis, and some earthy spices. The wine is delicately juicy and creamy on the palate, where yellow fruits come through and add a playful and joyful side. The finish is nicely suave but also refreshing with spices and herbs giving more grip. There is a touch of tartness in need of integration. 2028-2038. (Sep 2024)"
