94-96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen Grosses Gewächs is picked in a steep, rocky parcel of Permian red stone from 50-year-old vines. While reduction still swings along, there is passion fruit foliage on this intriguing nose. The palate is light, zesty with pale lemon peel, clear as a bell, bright and wonderfully strait-laced. It’s linear and somehow also gentle. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2060. (Sep 2024)"

95+ points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Frühlingsplätzchen GG from Tim Fröhlich is coolish, spicy, mineral and grippy on the nose that reveals delicate notes of yeast and slate. Powerful, dense and almost opulent on the palate but then, suddenly, as precise as a Dürer yet with the verve of a Rubens. The wine is dense and reveals a powerful, long-lasting finish. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024. Drink: 2029-2045. (10/31/24)"

95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "All the charm of spring, just as the name of this great site promises. Stacks of pink grapefruit, dried herb and wet stone character. This has impressive concentration and minerality, but also a juiciness that makes it a delight to drink right away. Moderate acidity in this context, but also a long, very pure finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink from release. (9/6/24)"

93 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 24 24. The Frühlingsplätzchen 2023 Riesling GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, offers a very impressive and superbly primary nose with smoky residues from its spontaneous fermentation as well as white flowers, flint stone, greengage, grass, green apple, lime tree, and fennel seeds. The wine proves nicely structured and intense on the palate, yet it also has an incredible lightness. The finish proves slightly juicier and delicate. The length is superb. This is a beautiful dry Riesling in the making. 2028-2038. (Sep 2024)"
