97-99 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2024 Riesling Bockenauer Stromberg Grosses Gewächs was largely made from 100-year-old vines (Fröhlich's oldest) rooted in porphyry. Its flinty reduction is perfumed with crushed passion fruit foliage and chervil. This has sinus-clearing lift and absolute poise. The palate is taut, bright and concentrated, with an immense zestiness of tangerine and grapefruit notes. They tingle with aroma and yet this has the firmest, sveltest core. 95 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The Stromberg 2024 Riesling GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, offers a quite smoky and minty nose with just a touch of residues from its spontaneous fermentation, and includes wild herbs, blackberry, cassis, cherry, acacia, thyme, black tea, and flintstone. The wine is quite structured and compact on the palate, and only slowly shows more finesse as fresh flavors of mint and spices join the party. The finish is hugely long and slightly on the broader side. The aftertaste is full of spices and intensity. This is an impressive dry Riesling. 2030-2044. (Issue #77; Sep 2025)"
