95 points Wine Spectator: "[$200 list] A light smoky, sandalwood aroma leads off, followed by flavors of cherry, blackberry, iron, tea and burnished leather. Ripe, complex and balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a lingering aftertaste of smoke and autumn woods. Drink now through 2030. 500 cases made, 250 cases imported. (10/15/20)"

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Deici is a special bottling of Brunello that was released ten years after the vintage to commemorate the excellence of the 2007 vintage. The wine spent one year of its elevage in tank, followed by four years in thirty-three hundred liter Slavonian oak botti. It then spent another five years of bottle aging prior to release. The wine comes in at fourteen percent octane and offers up a beautifully refined aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, spit-roasted venison, a touch of orange peel, cigar wrapper, brown spices, a complex base of soil, a dollop of fresh oregano, cloves, a nice touch of oak and a topnote of bonfire. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and beautifully transparent in personality, with an excellent core of fruit, fine-grained tannins, still good acids and impeccable balance on the long, complex and very elegant finish. This is an utterly refined bottle of Brunello that is starting to approach its apogee of peak drinkability at fifteen years of age, but still has some tannin on the backend and will continue to cruise along magically for decades to come. Great juice. 2022-2055. (Sep/Oct 2022)"

95 points James Suckling: "A silky and pretty wine with sliced berry, light chocolate powder and hazelnut. Medium to full body, ultra-fine tannins. Lovely cedar, sandalwood and tobacco flavors at the finish. A beauty. Drink now. (11/21/16)"

95 points Raffaele Vecchione (WinesCritic.com): "Very mature on the nose it shows notes of dehydrated cherries, camphor, sandalwood, blood orange juice, chopped cedar, leather and cumin. In the background the memory of dehydrated plums, toasted pine nuts and wild myrtle describe the secondary scene. Medium-full body, soft, fine-grained tannins and a finish rich in pulp and substance that describes a harmonious and balanced sip. Released on the market 10 years later. Drink now or grow old. (Sep 2021)"

93 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "Released one decade after the harvest, the 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Dieci is a one-off wine meant to celebrate an exceptional vintage. The aging process sees 48 months in large Slavonian oak casks and the wine then rests in the bottle for the remaining years before its release. Only 8,000 bottles are available. The bouquet clearly shows tertiary aromas of licorice and tar, but the wine also has dark berry and dried cherry at its core. The finish is smooth and silky. The tannins have had considerable time to integrate. The wine still has life within and should continue its slow evolution. (May 2017)"

93 points Eric Guido (Vinous): "Pertimali's 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Dieci leads off with balsamic-infused black cherry and sweet strawberry, along with minty herbs, as notes of damp earth, crushed stone, and dried floral tones build. On the palate, soft, almost-fleshy textures usher in ripe red and black fruits, giving way to saturating minerality and spice, with slow-mounting tannins firming the experience, as inner florals toward the close provide lift. There are depths here that are yet unseen, the wine having been reserved in barrels for this release, yet I don’t find that the extended aging gets at all in the way; instead it balances the ripeness of the vintage. Even with its tannic clout, the 2007 Dieci is drinking beautifully today, and I expect that it would open even further if decanted. Fans of the Pertimali style will not be disappointed. Drink: 2020-2032. (Apr 2020)"
