94 points Nicolas Belfrage, MW (The World of Fine Wine): "Medium deep, considerable oranging on the rim. Prunes and plums and glacécherries on the nose. Lots of ripe, evolved, sweet fruit on the palate, alcoholic but not to its detriment. A wine of concentration and character, one of the old school to be enjoyed for years to come. (Issue 60; 2018)"
93 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino is a wine of beautiful and noteworthy elegance. It shows a fine and delicate quality of fruit, with wild berry and dark cherry at the front. That fruit intensity builds slowly as the wine warms in the glass, but it always stays confined and graceful throughout. Similar elements characterize the mouthfeel that is lean, compact and silky. Drink: 2020-2035. (Feb 2018)"
