91 points Kerin O'Keefe (Wine Enthusiast): "[$90 list] Youthfully vibrant, this racy Rosso opens with enticing aromas of wild berry, fragrant blue flower and earthy whiffs of leather and tilled soil. On the bright, tangy palate, notes of star anise and thyme accent crushed strawberry alongside lively acidity and lithe tannins. (Mar 2020)"
90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Rosso di Montalcino from Salvioni is aged in large, Slavonian oak Botti for one year prior to bottling. The 2018 version is ripe in the style of the vintage, tipping the scales at 14.5 percent octane, but also beautifully red fruity and impressively transparent in personality. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a very stylish mix of cherries, blood orange, woodsmoke, a hint of fresh oregano, a fine base of soil, cardamom and other spice tones and a topnote of peonies. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a good core, fine soil signature and grip, ripe, firm tannins and a long, well-balanced and youthful finish. This is cool in the mouth and does not show its ripeness at all, but it will need a few years in the cellar to let its backend tannins soften up a bit. This is an excellent Rosso. 2025-2045. (Jul/Aug 2021)"
