While some vanilla was still apparent on the nose, adding a sheen of polish to the black cherries and black raspberries, this full-bodied wine comes across as exceptionally balanced and silky. It has subtle, classy oak in its sweet red fruits, ground pepper, garrigue, spice, and even meaty aromas and flavors. With medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, layered mouthfeel, and ultra-fine tannins, it’s impossible to resist.
