Made from an isolated, very old-vine field blend of mostly Semillon with 46% Palomino, 4% Chenin Blanc and 2% Muscat d'Alexandrie, it's an engagingly elegant white with notes of lanolin, cream, orange zest and fresh lemons, stony intensity and a bright, mineral-edged finish. 2024-29. 94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 T'Voetpad is a blend of Semillon Blanc and Gris, Palomino, Chenin Blanc and Muscat, whole bunch pressed into old )foudres. This is quite potent on the nose: orange rind, lanolin and pressed white flowers that are beautifully defined. The palate is taut and fresh with orange rind and marmalade tinctures, tensile and saline, with a persistent and powerful finish. This is Sadie's smallest cuvée, and it's magnificent. Medium-bodied, the palate is bright and popping yet shows surprising phenolic bitterness and a kiss of skin tannins across the long, lingering, spicy finish.
