96-98 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(85% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir) Medium-deep peachy colour. Highly reductive glorious Pinot nose. Spicy with vanilla, cherries and gunpowder, a beautiful mélange. Vinous, caressingly silky palate with a touch of tannin on the firm back palate. Charming despite being youthful for the time being. I look forward to see this one evolve and develop grandiose Burgundian characters. Very low 4g/l dosage. (Jul 2023)"

96 points Yohan Castaing (Wine Advocate): "A blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir from Aÿ and a dosage of four grams per liter, the 2009 Dom Ruinart Rosé possesses a complex, vibrant bouquet with aromas of cherry, spring flowers, gooseberry, tangerine, almonds, pastry and slightly reductive elegant notes. Full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, the palate is perfectly balanced, dense and concentrated, with a delicate mousse and a long, saline, penetrating finish. There’s plenty of structure and substance here. There is no reason to wait, but it will age beautifully for another five to eight years. (Apr 2023)"

96 points Wine Spectator: "[$380 list] Delivers enticing notes of strawberry and cherry preserves, toasted walnut bread, pink grapefruit granita and elderflower that waltz across the palate on the finely detailed, silky mousse. Underscored by a minerally range of oyster shell, smoke and saline, this is rich and focused, yet seamlessly knit and graceful throughout. A bit reduced on the nose when first poured, so let this open in the glass -- try sipping it from a Burgundy glass to give it a little more air. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Disgorged July 2018. Drink now through 2034. (9/20/23)"

96 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "This is Dom Ruinart 2009 with 15% red wine addition. Charming, evolved and expressive with some lightly smoked tea and dried fruit - plum, candied lemon, mandarin. There is a delightful jasmine and coffee headiness, with a savoury play of dry spice, cocoa and roasted nuts feeling luxurious and welcoming, the texture smooth and silky yet perked up by some of that red intensity. Impressive. (Dec 2022)"

96 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2023).

96 points Wine & Spirits (Dec 2023).

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 Dom Ruinart Brut Rosé is composed from a cépages of eighty-five percent chardonnay and fifteen percent pinot noir, with all of the pinot included in the blend being still red wine from vineyards in Aÿ. It was disgorged in July of 2018 after eight years aging sur latte. The wine is a beautiful salmon color and offers up a superb aromatic constellation of tangerine, blood orange, a hint of rhubarb, a beautifully complex base of chalky minerality, rye bread, gentle smokiness and a topnote of dried rose petals. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a superb core, elegant mousse, excellent mineral undertow and grip, a fine spine of acidity and beautifully precise balance on the long, complex finish. This is a simply outstanding wine that is still a tad youthful, but already stunning to drink. That said, I would be inclined to tuck it away in the cellar for four or five more years and allow the secondary layers of complexity to emerge. Fine, fine juice. 2023-2050. (May/Jun 2023)"

95 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "Salmon-colored with a tinge of copper, the 2009 Champagne Dom Ruinart Rosé has the same base as the Blanc, but with the 15% addition of red wine, and has 4 grams per liter of dosage. Floral and exuberant with springy freshness, it opens to aromas of fresh peach, pressed flowers, and rocky earth. It takes time to open in the glass, but the palate is supple and soft, with medium body and a touch of warmth on the finish. It’s a bit more subtle compared to the Blanc De Blancs Extra Brut, but it’s very pretty as it opens. Drink 2024-2040. Disgorged July 2018. (11/17/23)"

95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Here's a rosé champagne for lovers of mature red Burgundy! It's pretty amazing how this manages to combine earthy and spicy notes with delicate raspberry fruit, the extra dimension that the very fine mousse and chalky acidity of top champagne adds. Very complex long finish. Drink or hold. (8/7/23)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2009 Dom Ruinart Rosé is a very pretty, understated Champagne. Bright red fruit, blood orange, mint, rose petal, dried flowers and cinnamon are nicely lifted. This is an especially quiet, subtle Rosé, especially for the year. The blend is 85% Chardonnay, mostly from Grand Crus in the Côte des Blancs (Cramant, Avize, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger) with a touch of Montagne de Reims (Sillery), plus 15% still Pinot from Aÿ. Disgorged in 2018, dosage is 4 grams per liter. Drink: 2023-2033. (May 2022)"

94 points Sarah Mayo (The Wine Independent): "A beautiful coral color with an extra fine bead of bubbles that dissipates slowly, the Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 is a blend of 85% Grand Cru Chardonnay plus 15% of Äy red wine. Consistent with the house style, the wines were vinified in stainless and completed malo-lactic fermentation. This rosé was aged a minimum of 11 years and finished as an Extra Brut with four grams per liter dosage. The nose reveals delicate morello cherry, lemon curd, kumquat and warm spice notes mixed with hints of wilted rose petals and toast. The medium-bodied palate is savory and lithe with red plum and citrus notes, a supple acid backbone and a long, saline finish that has a kiss of bitterness. The bottle tasted was disgorged September 2022. Alcohol 12.5%. Drink: 2023-2035. (11/8/23)"
