97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2009 Dom Ruinart is showing beautifully today. Rich and ample with terrific freshness, the 2009 is a gorgeous, modern-day Dom Ruinart that marries vinous intensity with energy and more tension than the wines of a decade ago. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint, baked apple tart, chamomile and gently spiced notes resonate in the glass. Best of all, the 2009 looks like a Champagne that will offer a very broad drinking window of pure pleasure. Disgorged: March, 2018. Drink: 2027-2049. (May 2022)"

97 points James Suckling: "An expansive and luxurious blanc de blancs Champagne with incredible depth of toasty and creamy character from long contact with the yeast. Flows over the palate in a single, great wave that extends into the enveloping and energetic finish, making you forget all the troubles of the world. Subtle floral, peach, candied-citrus and spicy notes. Spot-on balance and so lively, it surely has many years ahead of it. 80% of the cuvée is from Avize, Chouilly, Oger and Le Mesnil, plus 20% Montagne de Reims. Drink or hold. (11/24/21)"

96 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(tasted in 2021 in France; 100% grand cru chardonnay; 82% Côte des Blancs (Cramant, Avize, Chouilly and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger), 18% northern Montagne de Reims (Sillery); aged more than 9 years on lees under crown cap (for the last time); 4g/L dosage; disgorged April 2018; cork). A vintage of both high ripeness and high acidity, the inherent generosity of 2009 is well tamed by the precision of Ruinart and the confidence of the Côte des Blancs' strongest crus. Medium, bright straw hue introduces a core of white peach and fig that overflows bountifully with fruit mince spice, hazelnut, marzipan, toffee, ginger nut biscuits and fresh honey. It culminates in a finish of very good persistence and dry, salty minerality. (Edition VII; 2024)"

96 points Falstaff: "The first whiff is softly floral, think narcissus, and entirely creamy – very perfumed and intense. This is followed by insistent notes of wet chalk and pure lemon freshness along with a kind of savouriness, reminiscent of almond paste. With air, it becomes more and more pronounced. The palate has something joyful and generous, luminous and fresh, sinuous and poised. The intense concentration reveals profound flavour, a savoury saltiness that refers back to the almond paste, to cool, chalky, lemony depth. The length is astonishing and while delicious now, this will evolve beautifully. (Aug 2021)"

94-96 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(100% Chardonnay) Despite having three years post-disgorgement ageing (disgorged 3/2018), upon release it is still elegantly reserved and smoky-mineral in aromatics. The year was dry and sunny but the wine had managed to keep its crunchy fruit profile with lemon, yellow apple and ripe apricots. Takes some time to open in the glass and a large-bowled burgundy shape works particularly well at its youth. On the palate it comes with ample, attractive fruitiness and fleshy mouth-feel, less on the oily side. But by no means is it soft in the way many wines of the vintage are, instead it is surprisingly crisp and invigoratingly feisty. The slow aging curve it seems to be on promises great longevity. (Mar 2021)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Disgorged in April 2019, the 2009 Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs continues to drink very well, bursting with aromas of crisp stone fruit, confit citrus, wheat toast, bee pollen and smoky reduction. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, it's a pillowy, giving Champagne with excellent depth at the core, tangy structuring acids and a saline finish. Admirers of the Ruinart style will love it. Drink: 2022-2038. (8/31/22)"

95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A blanc de blancs that used to be approximately 2/3 Cote des Blancs Chardonnay blended with 1/3 Chardonnay from the Pinot Noir terroirs of the Montagne de Reims (providing weight and structure). The formula has been modified for the last few releases to retain energy and freshness (in the face of climate change), with 85-90% Cote des Blancs sourced Chardonnay now dominating the blend. The warmth of the vintage has imparted this wine with a core of peachy-exotic fruit. Peppered with fine minerality, a flowery finesse can be detected after time in the glass, demonstrating pedigree and subtle complexity. Long and exceptionally well-balanced despite its obvious ripeness. Excellent! (Sep 2023)"

95 points Decanter: "It was monk Dom Thierry Ruinart who, three centuries ago, inspired his nephew Nicolas to create what is widely held to be the oldest Champagne company. This cuvée is a creation inspired by only the most exceptional vintages of Chardonnay. The first Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs was created in 1959. Simon Field MW: Bright and persistent mousse. Has finely grained acidic structure, deferential to the ripe and generous fruit, holding everything together with real gusto. Alan Bednarski: Marvellous, crisp and still fresh, getting into slightly ripe and dry stone fruits with a scent of dry herbs, orange peel and yoghurt pie. Tim Hall: A struck-match style but nevertheless crowd-winning appeal here. A triumph of pure and well-wrought texture, spice, developed fruit and length. Very good in its style. Drinking Window: 2021-2027. (Oct 2021)"
