95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "With the parcel they rent from the Château de Gevrey-Chambertin, the Rousseau family now have 0.8 hectares in this late picked, combe-influenced Premier Cru. It’s a delicate, floral, restrained wine with plenty of crunchy acidity, filigree tannins and delicate red cherry and pomegranate fruit. Haunting stuff. 2020-30. (2017)"

91-94 points Fine Wine Review: "The Lavaux Saint-Jacques has energy and tension in its stony nose and mouth. You really can taste the rock here. This is a very good expression of the vineyard. (1/7/17)"

93 points (16.5/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "Beautiful freshness and softness of texture in the Lavaux Saint-Jacques, with fine tannins and spicy length. The oak is quite present but will mellow. (2018)"

92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "On the other hand, the 2015 Lavaux St. Jacques chez Rousseau was absolutely singing at the time of my visit, offering up a beautifully pure, sappy aromatic constellation of red plums, cherries, a touch of grilled meats, raw cocoa, a whisper of vanillin oak and a pungent topnote of roses. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with lovely transparency, fine-grained tannins and outstanding length and grip on the vibrant and utterly seamless finish. A marvelous Lavaux! 2023-2060. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
