91-94 points Fine Wine Review: "The Gevrey-Cazetiers , from vines a little older than the Lavaux St-Jacques, is somewhat darker in color. It is complex in the nose with mostly dark fruits but also some red. In the mouth, the wine shows harmony and finesse to its strawberry flavors with a touch of coconut, and it is nervy and long. This, too, is the finest effort I can recall from Rousseau from this vineyard. (Issue #114; 2006)"
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2005 Cazetiers shares the forward and seductive personality of the Lavaux St. Jacques, but it couples this early accessibility with a great spine of acidity, more substantial (though equally seamless) tannins, and an outstanding backend that strongly urges owners of bottles of this wine to defer gratification for at least a few years. The bouquet is a stellar mélange of red and black cherries, dark chocolate, a touch of meats, lovely spices, a very gentle base of vanillin oak (one and two year-old barrels used for this wine) and a pungent topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is deep, full and layered, with a beautiful core of fruit, and a great finish of supple tannins and tangy acids. Really a stunning vintage for the Rousseau Cazetiers. 2010-2030. (Nov/Dec 2006)"
