96 points Charles Curtis MW (Decanter): "Roumier's Clos de la Bussière remains one of the best values in Burgundy. The red and black berry fruit character is charming, with hints of spice and flowers in the trademark Christophe Roumier style. The aromas are ethereal yet still pleasingly plump, and the texture substantial but always underscored by a lovely freshness (due in part to half the fruit being fermented as whole clusters). Marvellous. This 2.59ha monopole is located on the southern edge of the village, downslope from the Clos de Tart and the Morey section of Bonnes-Mares {N.B.: In fact, the northeast corner runs almost right up against Dujac’s new cuverie and across the narrow street from the Dujac family home.} (Nov 2021)”

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussière 1er Cru has a pretty nose, very refined and focused with pressed flowers infusing the blackberry and cranberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins, the 55% whole bunch seamlessly integrated with a silky, quite sensual finish and a long white pepper tinged aftertaste. Superb. Drink 2026-2048. (Nov 2021)."

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Deep concentrated black purple. Rich, solid and strong. This is incredibly backward, deep grainy texture, predominantly black fruit, blackberry even, with a tight fresh finish. Reminds me of 2005 at the same stage. 55% whole bunch. (Nov 2021.)."

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound) "A more deeply pitched nose is comprised by notes of dark berry coulis, violet and discreet earth wisps. The rich velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the impressively long if moderately rustic finale. Drink 2032+. (01/10/22)."
