90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Medium purple, the nose is quieter than the Bourgogne, the fruit a touch darker and with exceptional richness for this vintage towards the back of the palate. Very juicy yet also enlivened by the whole bunch component. Dark fruit, dried flowers, very long. Tasted: November 2018."
91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Chambolle AC from Christophe Roumier is absolutely superb, offering up great purity on both the nose and palate. The sappy bouquet delivers a marvelous mix of red and black cherries, raw cocoa, complex soil tones, gamebird and a lovely, smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, nascently complex and nicely sappy at the core, with lovely transparency, fine-grained tannins and a very long, vibrant and focused finish. This is very high class villages. 2022-2055. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
