97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2022 Côte Rôtie Côte Brune displays a round, floral-driven style with plenty of violets and mixed red, blue, and black fruits. It's expansive and layered on the palate, with a sexy, seamless texture and concentrated fruit backed by plenty of ripe, polished tannins. While showing a different tannin profile compared to the Côte Blonde, it's equally, if not more, structured and deserves upwards of a decade of bottle age. Drink: 2033-2062. (5/9/25)"

96 points Nicolas Greinacher (Vinous): "The 2022 Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune is bold and profound—a true head-turner. Intricate layers of ripe black cherry, orange rind, crushed violets, cedar, rose petals, pencil shavings and a hint of black pepper captivate the senses. Medium- to full-bodied, the outstanding 2022 is firmly structured by ripe tannins. Its long, persistent finish lingers beyond the final sip, leaving a lasting impression. The 2022 demands several years in a cool cellar before the cork can be pulled. Drink: 2032-2042. (Jan 2025)"

96 points Matt Walls (Decanter): "A richer, darker, fruitier style than a typical vintage of La Côte Brune. Rounded and generous, more about black fruits than flowers this year. Concentrated and opulent, with lovely ripe, soft tannins, and lots of them. Good length. Four weeks in tank, 18 months in oak, limited new oak, natural yeasts and as many stems as possible. Drinking Window: 2029-2041. (9/18/23)"
