95-97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2022 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde is another more medium to full-bodied, elegant 2022 in the vintage. It doesn't have the sheer depth and density of the 2020 (it will easily be a step up over the 2021) but nevertheless has a powerful, concentrated style carrying ample red and black fruits, lots of spicy, floral notes, ultra-fine tannins, and a focused, precise style on the palate. I wouldn't be surprised to see it put on weight over the course of its élevage, and it's going to need short-term cellaring to show its full potential. (3/28/24)"

Pronounced blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, pencil shavings, cedar and orange blossom nuances race out of the glass. Minty traces complement the complex aromatic profile. The 2022 Côte Blonde hits the palate with striking inner energy and concentration. Firmly built like a skyscraper, it will demand extended time in the cellar once bottled. Drink: 2030-2042. 95 points Matt Walls (Decanter): "Gently fragrant jasmine and rose, very Côte Blonde in terms of aromatics. Soft, velvety mouthfeel with flavours of blackberry, cassis and more rose. Slightly higher alcohol and lower acidity than a typical year, not as tense and upright as some recent vintages, making for a luxurious, rich style of Côte-Rôtie. Four weeks in tank, 18 months in oak, limited new oak, natural yeasts and as many stems as possible. Drinking Window: 2026-2038. (9/17/23)"

94+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Pierre Rostaing’s 2022 Côte Blonde from is another outstanding wine in the making, but like the Ampodium, it is going to be a serious long-distance runner and will not be approachable over the coming fifteen years or so. The wine comes in tipping the scales at 13.5 percent octane and offering up a superb young nose of cassis, smoked meats, pepper, a hint of black olive, dark chocolate, a complex foundation of soil tones, woodsmoke, a whisper of oak and a topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully soil-driven in personality, with a great core of fruit, tangy acids, firm, buried tannins and great length and grip on the complex and impeccably balanced finish. 2039-2085.
