93 points Wine Spectator: "[$95/750ml list] A fresh red, with alluring blue and black fruit in a pure, clean style supported by a spine of iron that imparts power and precision. Offers an unadorned profile, with any hint of oak integrated way in the backdrop, showcasing violet details and mineral intensity on the clean finish. Still tightly coiled, with a taut feel to the finely polished tannins. This needs time. Best from 2026 through 2040. (8/31/25)"

92 points Nicolas Greinacher (Vinous): "The taut 2022 Côte-Rôtie Ampodium reveals black cherry, red plum, crushed violets and a touch of cedar on the nose. Medium-bodied with concentrated flavors, the 2022 concludes persistently with an elegant finish. More tannic than the 2023 tasted alongside, it will benefit from at least two more years in bottle. Drink: 2027-2037. (Jan 2025)"

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Leading off the reds from bottle, classic red and black fruits, spice, roasted herbs, and loamy earth all define the 2022 Côte Rôtie Ampodium. Medium-bodied, supple, and balanced, it has ripe tannins and will drink nicely for 10-15 years. It's a great intro cuvée for the estate and shows the sunny yet nicely structured style of the vintage. Drink 2025-2040. (5/9/25)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2022 Côte-Rôtie “Ampodium” bottling from Pierre Rostaing is an outstanding young wine. The bouquet delivers a deep, bright and complex blend of black raspberries, cassis, grilled meats, pepper, a touch of dark chocolate, a superb base of stony soil tones, just a hint of cedar, violets and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, young and properly structured, with an outstanding core of black fruit, fine soil inflection and grip, firm, buried tannins, good acids and focus and a long, nascently complex, chewy and very well-balanced finish. This really has excellent mid-palate depth this year, but it has a serious undercarriage of tannin and will demand some extended cellaring before it starts to drink with true generosity. 2039-2075. (Sep/Oct 2024)"

92 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "Earthy, fresh, polished, medium bodied, sweet, lush and peppery, there is a boatload of fruit and freshness here, with a spicy, earthy undertone. Vibrant, and fruity, just a few years are needed before this really sings. (Sep 2018)"
