91-93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted from multiple barrels, the 2022 Côte Rôtie Ampodium will easily be an outstanding wine. All of the barrels had saturated purple hues, terrific purity, lots of both red and blue fruits, integrated oak, and ripe, polished tannins. It's going to be a smoking good base cuvée from this talented family. (03/28/24)."
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2022 Côte-Rôtie “Ampodium” bottling from Pierre Rostaing is an outstanding young wine. The bouquet delivers a deep, bright and complex blend of black raspberries, cassis, grilled meats, pepper, a touch of dark chocolate, a superb base of stony soil tones, just a hint of cedar, violets and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, young and properly structured, with an outstanding core of black fruit, fine soil inflection and grip, firm, buried tannins, good acids and focus and a long, nascently complex, chewy and very well-balanced finish. This really has excellent mid-palate depth this year, but it has a serious undercarriage of tannin and will demand some extended cellaring before it starts to drink with true generosity. 2039-2075. (Sep/Oct 2024)"
