93 points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): "The lemon custard-scented 2021 Chardonnay Proprietor Selection is entirely barrel fermented and underwent full malolactic fermentation. Hints of pencil shavings and white peach also appear on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-boded and generous but reined in by some gentle phenolics that leave a silky texture behind on the lingering finish. It should drink well for at least four or five years. Drink: 2023-2027. (May 2023)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "Generous, with caramel-covered green apple, ripe peach and pear at the juicy, plump core, plus hints of vanilla crème anglaise and buttery pastry. The long finish, expressive and spicy, packs plenty of complexity and juiciness. Drink now. (2023)"

91 points James Suckling: "Fruity and tropical chardonnay with aromas of grapefruit, lemon curd, melon and pineapple. It’s medium-bodied, with juicy yellow fruit and a clean and fresh finish. Drink now. (Jan 2023)"

Producer notes: "[$80 list] Expressive and concentrated aromas of grapefruit and lime sorbet with hints of clove are present in the glass. It is rich and intense on the palate with sweet peach, clove, and freshly baked pastry flavors. There is a bright refreshing acidity that gives way to more stone fruit flavors that continue to build on the very long and concentrated finish. Barrel aged 9 months in American and French oak (40% new)). Alcohol 14.5%."
