95+ points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "With fruit from Neive, the 2015 Barbaresco Albesani (with only 2,616 bottles made) is a delicate, almost fragile wine with a dark ruby shine. The bouquet is finessed and detail-oriented, with cassis, dried cranberry, smoky flint and a lifted tone of balsam herb or dried ginger. The wine is very fresh with beautifully balanced acidity and a bright point of candied violet or lilac on the graceful finish. Albesani is a princess in the Roagna family. Drink: 2024-2040. (Jun 2021)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Barbaresco Albesani is gracious, floral and lifted, which is not common in Albesani, where the wines tend to be more powerful. Bright acids and lively tannins give the 2015 its shape and energy. This translucent, inviting Barbaresco has so much to offer. Drink: 2020-2035. (Oct 2020)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "A combination of spicy cherry, iron, tobacco and tar aromas and flavors are woven into the dense tannins in this sinewy red. There's an essence of ripe fruit, yet this requires time to reconcile its gripping structure. Best from 2024 through 2043. 218 cases made. (4/30/21)"
