92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted the same day as it went into bottle at the end of February, the pale red 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced from the younger vines of the estate coming within Ravera and Bussia. In the glass, it’s fresh and floral with notes of sweet spices, strawberries, ripe peaches, and perfumed incense. Medium-bodied with a lightweight lift, it’s refreshing and has ultra-fine tannins as well as a long-perfumed finish that lasts after the wine is gone. In the cellar, it underwent a 20-day maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and was then aged for one year in barrels. It’s scheduled for release in April 2025. Drink 2025-2035.The majority of the wines for this report were tasted with Marta Rinaldi at the estate in Barolo. Drink: 2025-2035. (May 2025)"
The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is a gracious, mid-weight wine to drink now and over the next few years. Attractive spice and floral notes add shades of nuance to the Nebbiolo fruit. Relatively short fermentations keep the flavors bright.
