96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Barolo Bussia is a classy, elegant wine that shows all the dynamic energy that is typical of this district. Spice, leather, incense and dried flowers come alive in the glass, framed by youthful, grippy tannins that lend shape and dimension. Dense and layered, with fine balance, the Brunate is terrific in the early going. Drink: 2026-2041. (Jan 2025)"
95 points Michaela Morris (Decanter): “The Rinaldi family had the fortune to rent a 1ha plot in Bussia Sottana in 2019 before purchasing it outright in 2022. The vines are already a mature 40-plus years old and have long been cultivated according to organic practices. It is the densest and most texturally rich of the lineup, yet still with the estate’s lifted lilt and tactful touch. Rosemary-inflected wild cherry and chinotto radiate from the grounding mineral core. Long, finessed tannins slink seductively and confidently across the palate, culminating with a gratifying bite. Hints of bitter chocolate appear on the finish. Drinking Window: 2027-2041. (Jan 2025)”
95 points James Suckling: "Restrained and austere on the nose, with rhubarb, sweet violets, blood oranges, cherry stones and licorice. Full-bodied with crisp acidity, velvety refined tannins, toasty flavors and an austere if not rustic finish. It will be released in the spring. Try from 2027. (1/14/25)"
