97 points Decanter: “The estate’s 1.2ha are on Brunate’s lower slopes within the commune of Barolo. Serious frost damage in 2021 resulted in 50% less production of this iconic bottling. Quality, nonetheless, is on point. Intense aromas of rose make a striking contrast with the earthy nuances of forest growth, toasted hazelnut and tar. The palate is well-endowed, with dark fruit wrapped up in clayey, clingy tannins. Waves of succulent acidity draw out the citrussy, blood orange finish. Drinking Window: 2028-2044. (Jan 2025)”
97 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "In bottle since last August, the estate will release all their 2021s in April, 2025. A pale ruby red color, with a touch deeper pigment, the 2021 Barolo Brunate sports a deeper mineral profile on the nose, with notes of crushed stones, violets, a bit of exotic spice, black raspberry, and licorice. The palate has broader shouldered, ripe tannins, but remains midweight, and it actually exhibits a bit more approachability and depth on the palate. Drink 2026-2056. (May 2025)"
96 points James Suckling: "A complex and vibrant wine with aromas of blood orange zest, dried cherries, meat and restrained violets and sweet spices. Full-bodied with velvety tannins, refreshing acidity and intoxicating floral flavors. Chewy and tense in the finish. It will be released this spring. Try from 2027. (1/14/25)"
