96 points Kerin O'Keefe: "The 2019 Cannubi from Francesco Rinaldi & Figli is gorgeous, delivering juicy red berry, menthol, baking spice and licorice sensations as well as floral notes recalling iris and rose. It’s structured and extremely elegant and energized, with tightly knit, refined tannins and fresh acidity. It’s still on the austere side so give it several more years to fully unwind and develop. Drink 2027–2039. Abv: 14.5%. (Apr 2023)"

96 points Ian D'Agata (Terroir Sense): "Luminous bright red. Warm aromas of red cherry, dark plum, sweet spices, marzipan and candied violet. Plush, rich and pliant, showing terrific depth to its sweet red and dark fruit flavours, complicated by minerals, sandalwood and marzipan nuances. Quite large-scaled fand very fruit-forward for a Cannubi from this estate, and surprisingly approachable now. Youthfully chewy but smooth tannins, outstanding length and a lusciously mouthcoating texture characterize the long sexy finish. Drinking window: 2037-2044. (4/5/24)"

95 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "[$98 list] The 2019 Barolo Cannubi has a lovely spicy, almost exotic quality with tart cherry fruit and nicely balanced campfire ash, tar and licorice root. You get the elegant nuances of Cannubi presented with extra intensity and richness in the 2019 vintage. The finish has sweet fruit, silky tannins and an open-knit approach. The wine is aged in large oak casks for 36 months, and 10,000 bottles were created.. Drink: 2025-2040. (8/24/23)"

95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Barolo Cannubi is another super-classic Barolo from Rinaldi. It offers a combination of Cannubi finesse and old-school power that is striking. Crushed flowers, mint, cedar, white pepper, leather and pine lend notable aromatic brilliance. Beneath it all lies a serious core of fruit, acid and tannin. Readers should be in no rush here. Drink: 2027-2034. (Jan 2023)"

94 points Falstaff Guide: "Clear ruby red with subtle lightening on the rim. Deep nose, seductive raspberry fruit, mint and lemon balm and hints of tobacco and nutmeg. Elegant and delicate on the palate, polished tannin framework, dancing acidity, great interplay between savouriness and juice in the finish. (10/6/23)"

93 points James Suckling: "Red plums, dark cherries, dried orange peel, rose hips and red spices. Medium- to full-bodied and a little chewy with velvety, slightly powdery tannins. Fresh, red-fruited character with a chalky texture in the finish. Try after 2025. (11/7/23)"
