95 points Decanter: "A smaller vineyard, 3ha planted in 1996, Dundee Hills fleshy red fruits, this wine is gorgeously fruited with lifting character of mint and white pepper. Candied red fruits transition to elegance and savoury 30% new French oak, 18 months in barrel. This wine distinguishes itself on spice and lifted fruit character. Elegance and freshness drive a generosity of fruit, with wild red berries, bright pomegranate and candied strawberry flavours. Drinking Window: 2024-2034. (Feb 2024)"

94-96 points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "When I visited Résonance, winemaker Guillaume Large and I tasted through three different components of the 2021 Pinot Noir Découverte Vineyard, representing three single blocks of Pommard clone. Surprisingly, the final barrel blend that I also tasted was greater than the sum of its parts. It has generous aromas of cranberry jelly, lavender, orange peel, tea leaves and mushrooms, continuing to evolve as it spends time in the glass. The light-bodied palate is soft and juicy with particularly concentrated, perfumed fruits despite its weightless frame. It has alluring bursts of sweet berry fruit and a long, ethereal finish. (Oct 2023)"

94 points Eric Guido (Vinous): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Découverte Vineyard is simply stunning, enticing with dark florals and mentholated herbal tones elevating its crushed blackberry fruit. This opens with a pleasant inner sweetness and textures of pure silk, giving way to depths of vividly ripe black cherries that swirl under an air of violet pastille. The 2021 lingers impossibly long while maintaining a lovely inner freshness. Hints of licorice and lavender fade over a sour citrus tinge and gently grippy tannins. Drink: 2025-2032. (Jan 2024)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Découverte Vineyard bottling of pinot noir from Jacques Lardière and the team at Résonance Vineyards is a lovely bottle in the making. The wine comes in at 13.5 percent octane in this vintage and offers up a complex and classy aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, a touch of pomegranate, gamebird, woodsmoke, dark soil tones, coffee bean and cedary oak. On the palate the wine is bright, focused, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with a good chassis of ripe tannin, fine balance and grip and a long, nascently complex and very promising finish. This is going to be an excellent wine once it is ready to drink. 2031-2075. (Jun 2024)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Handsomely built and dynamic, this Pinot offers raspberry and cherry flavors framed by stony minerality and forest floor tones while building tension toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032. (6/30/24)"
