95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Raveneau family’s 2015 Valmur is a ripe and very refined wine, with the synthesis of the vintage’s generous fruit and the cru’s fine mineral drive beautifully entwined. The nose wafts from the glass in a gregarious mix of apple, pear, paraffin, chalky minerality and just a whisper of vanilla in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and quite plush on the attack, with an excellent core of fruit, fine soil signature, bright acids and excellent length and grip on the focused finish. There is a lovely veneer of puppy fat here, but my gut instinct is that this wine will start to show a firmer structural chassis after bottling and probably will want a few years in the cellar before drinking. 2020-2050. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
95 points Stephen Brook (Decanter): "Firm, toasty nose, very ripe. Good attack showing flesh and texture too, with fine concentration and considerable minerality on the finish. Restrained, elegant, balanced, taut, and long. Drinking Window: 2018-2030. (Jan 2017)"
94+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Pale yellow. Deeper and richer on the nose than the Blanchots, offering aromas of lemon and lime zest, spices and mint. Thick in the way of the vintage but with terrific energy and definition to the flavors of citrus fruits, herbs and spearmint. More structured and powerful than the Blanchots, but then these vines escaped the hail. Utterly fine-grained wine with outstanding density, lift and rising length. A great 2015 in the making. (Aug 2017)"
93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "The ripe but fresh, layered and expressive nose offers up notes of mineral reduction, green fruit, lemon-lime, tidal pool and oyster shell hints. The full-bodied, rich and muscular big-bodied flavors are succulent and wonderfully textured while delivering outstanding length on the stony, focused and refreshingly dry finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. As Raveneau's Valmur almost always is, this is a powerful and serious wine that certainly could be enjoyed now though for my taste, it needs at least another 5 to 7 years. Tasted twice in 2021 with consistent notes. Drink: 2025+. (Oct 2021)"
