96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru is a dense, powerful wine that reflects the natural concentration of yields that were just 13 hectoliters per hectare as opposed to the more typical 50 or so. Lemon confit, white flower and orchard fruit notes are packed into an explosive Chablis that will only truly blossom with quite a bit of time in the cellar. The 2017 is so deep, so vivid and so striking. I can't imagine opening a bottle before its tenth birthday. Drink: 2022-2042. (Jan 2020)"
96 points James Suckling: "A plot right at the top of the hill with plenty of morning sun. Wet stony aromas with waxy grapefruit pith and savory almond notes. The palate has a very succulent, fleshy and juicy core. Lithe and strong. There’s immense power here. A wine for longer aging. Try from 2022. (7/23/18)"
94-96 points Nean Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Blanchots Grand Cru is already very compelling on the nose: mineral, smoke, melted beeswax and pressed flowers all vying for attention. The palate is beautifully balanced with a lightly spiced entry, crisp and taut from the start with a touch of nutmeg, walnut and orange rind towards the persistent finish. This is showing beautifully – a regal, blue-blooded yet quite intellectual Chablis. Drink: 2022-2048. (Aug 2018)"
95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "As I mentioned in the introduction, the Blanchots was not particularly hard hit by frost in 2017 and the wine has turned out to be an absolute classical interpretation of this beautiful terroir in this vintage. The pure, refined and nascently complex nose jumps from the glass in a blend of apple, lemon, tangerine, chalky minerality, beeswax, dried flowers and a topnote of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and nicely solid at the core, with beautiful transparency and grip, bright, zesty acids, great focus and bounce and impressive mineral drive on the very long and intensely flavored finish. Great juice. 2024-2065. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot is showing brilliantly, delivering a complex bouquet of honeysuckle, smoke, mandarin and wheat toast. On the palate, it's full-bodied, layered and satiny-textured, with striking concentration, lively acids and a pure, precise finish. From the domaine's oldest parcel—planted in 1936—this is a powerful, ineffably complete Blanchot that will be well worth following for three decades. Drink: 2025-2047. (Aug 2019)"
93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Next to Les Clos, high up but early in the valley. One really old vine patch, 90 years old, another half that. Pale fresh colour with a stellar nose of dancing white flowers, magical. It is not at all vast but it is really fine, with medium plus length. (May 2018)"
