93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Vaillons from Domaine Raveneau is another superb bottle in the making, promising to start to drink with generosity with only a handful of years’ worth of bottle age. The excellent bouquet wafts from the glass in a mix of apple, tangerine, limestone minerality, spring flowers and a lovely topnote of beeswax. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and shows off excellent mid-palate depth, with bright acids, lovely focus and cut and a long, pure and complex finish. Fine, fine juice. 2026-2055. (NovDec 2022)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2023).

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale lemon colour with a classic Vaillons nose of dry stones and lemon zest, showing a little youthful bitterness that augurs well, and then finishing on lemon cream. Properly persistent. Drink from 2025-2030. (Jun 2022)"

91-93 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "from a .40 ha holding, 95% of which is situated in Vaillons proper with the remainder in Séchet). A slightly more elegant and certainly airier nose combines notes of white pepper and very pretty orchard fruit with those of citrus confit, ocean breeze and iodine. There is almost painful intensity to the beautifully well-detailed and mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a dry, clean and lingering finish that offers notably better depth. This beauty should also amply repay mid to even longer-term keeping. Drink: 2029+. (Oct 2022)""

92 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "A smaller plot of 0.4ha with average age around 33 years. The development of the vines in Vaillons was delayed in 2021 by the harsh April frosts. A slightly edgier wine than some others in the range. Isabelle Raveneau says that actually the acidity is not higher in Vaillons but the balance in 2021 is a bit different. Much more zesty grapefruit notes. Plenty of interest but not a standout in 2021 for me. Drinking Window: 2024-2028. (10/17/22)"
