94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "The Raveneau holdings of Montmains are a 0.6-hectare parcel that faces southeast. The result is a deliciously fruity, comparatively forward style with notes of peaces and white flowers and an undertone of green malt. The wine finishes with a fresh, tangy flourish. (2017)"

92.5 points CellarTracker.com community score.

90-92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(these grapes were picked at the same time as the Forêt): Bright lemon-yellow. Cool and minty on the reticent nose. Then juicy on the palate and a bit more open-knit than the Forêt, but with an uncompromising dryness to the grapefruit and menthol flavors. This is more concentrated and enveloping if still a bit youthfully warm. These vines are about 30 years old, compared to 20 to 25 for the Forêt. No shortage of ripeness here. (Jul 2016)"

91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Raveneau family’s 2015 Montmains is very similar stylistically to the Forêt, offering up lovely balance and focus to go along with early accessibility. The bouquet delivers a lovely mix of apple, pear, lemon, wet stones and a topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and elegant, with fine mid-palate depth, good framing acids and lovely focus and grip on the very well-balanced finish. This too will drink upon release, but also should age fairly well on its impeccable balance. 2016-2035. (Nov/Dec 2016)"

91 points Stephen Brook (Decanter): "Dense nose that lacks some clarity of fruit, with the wood too prominent. The palate is rich, spicy, and much more vibrant than the nose, showing clarity and freshness with a racy acidity. It is well balanced with a long, chewy, mineral finish. It should age well. Drinking Window: 2018-2026. (Jan 2017)"
