94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The Raveneau holdings of Montmains are a 0.6ha parcel that faces east and south east. Pale, backward and quite closed, as the domaine's wines often are in their youth, this is fresh, focused and understated, with notes of beeswax and citrus peel, a nip of skin tannins and the abreast whisper of oak. Give it time. Drinking Window: 2022-2033. (Jul 2019)"

92-94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): " A wine of textural depth and resonance, the 2018 Chablis Monts-Mains 1er Cru shows terrific power and richness in its broad, sweeping feel. Even with all of its density and overtness, the 2018 retains terrific freshness to balance things out. (Jun 2020)"
93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Montmains chez Raveneau is another excellent wine in the making. The bouquet is very expressive out of the blocks (as Maxim Raveneau noted), wafting from the glass in a complex blend of lemon, apple, chalky minerality, a potpourri of white flowers and just a touch of anise in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nicely plump at the core, with fine chalky undertow, bright, zesty acids, excellent focus and grip and great backend lift on the nascently complex finish. It is interesting that this wine is more reserved on the palate today than the nose suggests, which augurs even better for its evolution in bottle. 2022-2050. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
92-93 points James Suckling: "Attractive, ripe green mangoes, white peaches and fresh lemons in an expressive nose. A very, very plush, fresh and succulent feel here. This has terrific roundness and a long pull to close. Good volume and density here. Drink on release. (7/25/19)"
92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Wafting from the glass with aromas of green apple, iodine, fresh bread and oyster shell, the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains is medium to full-bodied, layered and satiny, with bright acids and a chalky finish. This has turned out beautifully.. Drink: 2023-2045. (Aug 2021)"
92 ponts/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .37 ha holding of relatively young vines in Montmains proper). This is more elegant and restrained with cool aromas of citrus confit, shellfish and an abundance of floral wisps. There is fine richness to the seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that are not as dense or powerful though they are more refined on the discreetly stony and super-saline finish that is slightly more persistent. Lovely stuff that should also reward up to a decade of keeping. Drink: 2028+. (Nov 2020)"
