94 ponts Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Succulent musk melon and Mirabelle tart zoom from the glass. The palate offers more of the same with additional nuances of graham cracker crust. There is noticeable mid-palate chewiness here, but the medium weight is effortlessly lifted by zinging acidity. No new oak is used here. (2024)"
91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "More lemon than lime in colour, can I detect the blue clay in the nose? White fruit, with a touch of apple and fresh citrus. The wine extends beautifully across the palate, biding its time, a light touch of wood helping rather than hindering its expression. A controlled weight of fruit, with an attractive finish. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted May 2023."
93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chablis Fôret 1er Cru has a cohesive and quite compelling bouquet: citrus peel, gunflint, a little more reductive than Raveneau's other cuvées but gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp entry, quite taut, linear and stricter than I expected with an uncompromising saline finish. Excellent. Drink: 2026-2040. (Aug 2024)"
93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .67 ha holding that averages 35 years of age). Very prominent mineral reduction pushes the ripe aromas of citrus confit, iodine and tidal pool the background. On the palate there is better volume and richness to the more powerful bigger-bodied flavors that are muscular though not especially refined, all wrapped in a stony, clean and markedly dry finale that is shaped by lemon-tinged acidity. I especially like the length and this altogether impressive effort should age effortlessly over the next decade plus. Drink: 2034+. (Oct 2024)"
93 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2025).
92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Forêt is bright and charming, bursting with aromas of crisp pear and green apple mingled with notions of white flowers and citrus zest. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, this pure, expressive wine is, as usual, one of the most approachable premiers crus in Raveneau's cellar. (9/7/23)"
92 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "Elegant, precise, lovely stony edge here. Great concentration but relatively understated at the moment. This needs many years to blossom but is certain to be very good in time. The Raveneau plot is located at the bottom of Forêts, with deeper soils, protected within an amphitheatre. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (10/18/23)"
