95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Between vanilla, hazelnut and candied lemon, Foret is firm, deep and chalky. (2023)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Domaine Raveneau Forêt is excellent in the 2020 vintage. The bouquet is bright and precise, but notably more reserved in personality at the present time than the Chablis villages. It delivers scents of lemon, pink grapefruit, apple, a fine base of limestone, paraffin and a topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and tightly-knit, with a fine core, lovely backend energy and cut, impressive minerality and a long, elegant and vibrant finish. This is going to be excellent, but it will demand a bit of bottle age before it starts to drink with generosity. 2027-2060. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .67 ha holding that averages 35 years of age). A cool and airy nose freely offers up its aromas of green apple, quinine, shellfish and lemon zest. The utterly delicious but solidly intense flavors are sleek and mineral-infused while displaying very fine length on the bone-dry, clean and well-balanced finale. This too is very promising, indeed it's even better than it usually is, and should develop well over the next decade plus. Drink: 2030+. (Oct 2022)"

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The holding is on the lower slopes of Forêt. Light lemon and lime, a little bit smoky or at least mineral with then a bouncing sweetness matched by the expected stones. All is present, elegant and long. Perhaps a little sucrosity nonetheless. (Jun 2021)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chablis Fôret 1er Cru has a pretty, generous nose of well-defined orange zest and Granny Smith apple scents, plus hints of quince and potpourri developing in the background. The palate is balanced, with modest weight, a slightly waxy texture and a fine bead of acidity. Quite tensile on the finish, where a dab of lemongrass lends complexity. Drink: 2023-2035. (Oct 2021)"

91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Notions of pear, citrus oil, white peach and spring flowers introduce the 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Forêt, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise wine that's elegant and fine-boned, concluding with a long, saline finish. As usual, this is the Raveneau premier cru to pick if you want to open a bottle young. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jul 2022)"
