95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Fermented and aged in old barrels according to the classic Raveneau style, this is a bright, savoury, sea-salty Chablis showing undertones of fennel and citrus peel, and notable palate length. Drinking Window: 2020-2032. (7/18/18)"

94 points (17/20)' La Revue du Vin de France: "Quite amiable, full-bodied and mellow, Forêt is bursting with tonicity in its very healthy fruit. (2020)"

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The nose takes some teasing out. This is quite strict, even from a ten-year-old barrel. I like the broad-shouldered style and structure, while there is a touch if liquorice alongside the fruit, and the balance is impeccable. (May 2018)"

92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Forêt parcel of the Raveneaus was just a touch less frosted than the Montmains in 2017, and this seems to have been translated into a touch more reserve out of the blocks in the finished wine. The bouquet is pure and complex, offering up a mix of tart orange, apple, lemon, beeswax , spring flowers, a touch of beeswax, flinty soil tones and a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full and nicely structured, with a fine core, excellent mineral drive and a long, vibrant and energetic finish. This is lovely, lovely wine in the making. 2021-2050. (Nov/Dec 2018)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Forêt is showing very well, bursting with scents of orange rind, green apple, white peach and spring flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with an elegantly textural attack, a pretty core of fruit and a long, precise finish. This is quite reminiscent of the 2010 rendition chez Raveneau, and it is well worth seeking out. Drink: 2022-2037. (8/30/19)"

92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Forêt 1er Cru is soft, open-knit and gracious. Almond, marzipan, dried lemon peel, sage, dried flowers and mint all grace this wonderfully expressive and inviting Chablis. The 2017 was only bottled about two months before this tasting, but it is one of the more accessible wines in the range, which means it will likely be one of the first of the 2017s to be fully expressive. Medium in body and absolutely impeccable in its balance, the 2017 has a lot to offer. Drink: 2022-2037. (Jan 2020)"

92 points James Suckling: "Two plots at an average age of 30 years old. A very fresh, approachable and smooth style of peaches and apricots. Supple, fresh apricots, too. A soft and charming finish. Earlier drinking here. (7/23/18)"
