94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Delightful. Slightly restrained on the initial attack, but with time, lovely aromas of ripe apple, pear and apricot open on the palate. The texture is creamy and dense, yet there's impressive freshness for the vintage, drawing the wine to a lingering finish. The grapes are from two parcels in the upper portion of the climat, nearly all planted in the 1960s. The wines are ageing in one 12hl oak upright and large casks (20% new). Organic. 2026-2040. (11/11/24)"

93+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Rapet's "baby Corton-Charlemagne," the 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille, delivers aromas of spring flowers, white currants, crisp orchard fruit and wet stones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and mineral palate that's racy and penetrating, concluding with a gently aromatic finish. Drink: 2025-2040. (Jan 2025)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Rapets’ 2023 Sous Frétille is an outstanding young wine. I love this terroir and this wine’s aromatic constellation delivers all of the promise of this fine vineyard, offering up a complex blend of pear, golden delicious apple, almond, a refined foundation of chalky minerality, fruit blossoms, a touch of honeysuckle and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied and zesty, with great depth of fruit at the core, superb mineral drive and grip, a fine spine of acidity and a long, precise and impeccably balanced, complex finish. The wine is certainly approachable today, but it is still a puppy and giving it at least a couple of years in the cellar will pay handsome rewards. This is a stunning value for white Burgundy! 2027-2050. (May/Jun 2025)"

91 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Smoky aromas of spiced pear, apple, lemongrass, exotic tea and a similar floral whiff are complemented by notably finer and sleeker medium weight flavors that possess good mid-palate sap while exuding an almost palpable minerality on the much more complex, long and better-balanced finale. One to consider as this offers solid quality. Drink: 2029+. (Apr 2025)"

90-91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Old vines, from 1962 and 1966, but they still did a green harvest as it was slow in ripening. Made in a mix of 350-litre barrels, 20% new and a Stockinger foudre. More backward, a smoky and stony note which is quite interesting, while there is still plenty of flesh. All hangs together well. (Oct 2024)"

90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Sous Frétille 1er Cru has a clean, fresh and quite stony bouquet that unfurls in the glass. The palate is taut and vibrant, quite peppery in style with a malic entry and a linear finish that has commendable weight. Drink: 2026-2036. (Jan 2025)"
