99 points Jim Gordon (JamesSuckling.com): "This has great tension between the bold, dramatic fruit and mineral flavors and the chalky, firm and brightly crisp texture. Laced with layers of red and black cherries and vivid raspberries, with strawberries in the finish. All backed by nervy acidity and moderate tannins for a sense of tension and linearity. (1/24/25)"

98 points/'#20 Top 50 US Wines of 2025,' Ana Carolina Quintela (Decanter): "The 2023 Sea Field Pinot Noir is the most delicate of the Raen wines this vintage - a light yet bright expression shaped by its proximity to the Pacific, just a few miles from the ocean. From an east-facing vineyard at 1,000 feet of elevation, this wine feels like it carries the breeze in every sip. The nose is lifted and perfumed: white florals, crushed violets, a hint of thyme, and sea salt spray. Red fruits mingle with blood orange and citrus pith on the palate, giving it energy and focus. It’s mineral, clean, and has the least tannic structure of the lineup. Restrained wines are often misunderstood as simple, but Pinots like this one speak with quiet confidence and precision. It is a beautiful and satisfying wine that time will most likely only make better. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (3/24/25)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2023 Pinot Noir Sea Field is a powerful, intensely mineral wine. Iron, gravel, red-toned fruit and rose petal are all finely sculpted. Salivating acids and a spine of searing tannins give the Sea Field its shape and insistent, driving personality. Bright saline notes extend the nuanced, bracing finish. This nervy Pinot needs time in bottle to be at its most expressive. Drink: 2026-2038. (Jan 2025)"
