91 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "(91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc): Good dark red. Superripe aromas of boysenberry, mocha and coffee, conveying an almost roasted aspect. Then wonderfully full, plush and sweet in the mouth, with cherry and currant flavors given added sex appeal by a chocolatey quality. Utterly seamless wine with a very long, sweetly tannic after. This offers immediate pleasure at a very reasonable price. (Dec 2014)"
Producer notes: "The 2011 Quilceda Creek Red Wine Columbia Valley is a blend of declassified lots that didn't make it into our flagship wines. Having this strict selection allows our best wines to compete at the highest level possible on a global scale. The resulting wine is full of red fruits, herbs, smoke, minerals and spice. This blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc will best be enjoyed over the next 10 years. This wine represents a great value and has received an average score of 92 points from the Wine Advocate over the past five years."
