The palate has a good deal of focus on the palate, with ripe and precise acidity, refined tannins, and a long finish. It is an impressive wine that I would encourage readers to seek out. Dense and highly concentrated but with terrific verve, this boasts lush and compellingly sweet flavours of red and dark fruit, spices and Oriental woods, framed tightly by a noteworthy tannic spine. Big and chocolaty on the persistent finish, this is very Rabajà, but it too will need to be cellared for another eight years or so before the tannins will resolve sufficiently for optimal drinking. The Produttori del Barbaresco 2020 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà is streamlined and tight and a wine of enormous energy. The fruit is crunchy and tight with cassis and blackberry.
