94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Rich dark red black purple, a huge volume of fruit on the nose, there is an excellent rich thread of fine Volnay fruit, more red than black, then lively acidity behind. Super persistence. Classy, gracious and concentrated. Very ripe fruit."

92-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The dark fruit nose is quite mineral. In the mouth, the wine is mineral and long with direct dark fruit that continues to develop. There’s a smooth texture here and overall length and finesse. This should be truly outstanding wine. (Nov 2016)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "While there is a whiff of VA it is more subtle while the aromatic profile is quite similar to that of regular cuvée save for the face that, like the En Caillerets - Amphore, the aromas are much more restrained and seemingly cooler plus there is no wood influence. There is a really lovely, indeed lilting mouth feel to the energetic and beautifully well-detailed flavors that deliver excellent length on the balanced finish. I suspect that the VA is sufficiently subtle that most readers would not be unduly bothered by it. Drink: 2026+. (Apr 2018)"
