93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Equally dark purple black, less red here. The nose is a touch more sombre also than Bousse d’Or. On the palate there is a wealth of fruit, with some robust tannins too, then good acidity. Not quite the flair of its stablemate rival, a little edgier but still with fabulous energy behind."

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A highly complex nose features notes of menthol, dark currant, raspberry, wood, spice and the barest hint of VA. The sleek, intense and wonderfully refined middle weight flavors brim with both minerality and dry extract, all wrapped in a well-balanced and impressively persistent finish. Good stuff in a built-to-age package. Drink: 2028+. (Apr 2018)"

90-94 points Fine Wine Review: "This wine is smooth in texture with concentrated cassis and other dark berry fruit and good minerality. The wine is still very primary, though. (Nov 2016)"

91-93 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright ruby-red. Expressive, scented nose combines blackberry, spices, violet and lavender pastille. At once supple and vibrant on the palate, conveying serious density of texture and juicy flavors of black fruits and spices. This wine stands out for its intensity and inner-mouth perfume. Finishes ripe and chewy, with excellent length. A very strong performance for a cool spot in a warm year. (Jan 2018)"
