94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A strikingly complex, elegant, airy and still almost startlingly fresh red berry fruit nose is expressive to the point of exuberance as the nose explodes from the glass with a flourish to reveal delicious, rich and full yet beautifully delineated and ultra pure flavors that are focused, linear and penetrating on the distinctly mineral-infused finish. This is a really lovely and sophisticated Pommard that is definitely built to last. A ‘wow’ Pommard that will be capable of being drunk earlier than my drinking window suggests but for my taste, I would bury it in the cellar and forget it. Drink: 2023+. (Jan 2011)"

92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Bright ruby-red. Complex, high-pitched aromas of black cherry, licorice and spices. Lovely sweetness to its dark fruit, licorice, menthol and earth flavors, with lively acids providing excellent cut. There's an almost peppery quality to this very fresh and sharply delineated 2005. Quite fine and airy for Pommard. Finishes dense and energetic, with traces of iron and leather. (Mar/Apr 2008)"

91 points David Schildknecht (Wine Advocate): "Landanger’s 2005 Pommard Jarollieres smells and tastes of mulberry and black cherry laced with wood smoke, pitting mineral and forest floor bass notes against juicy fresh black fruits on the palate, and the invigorating raw berry fruit character helps relieve what could otherwise be a rather somber, dark vinous personality. This combines refined tannins and depth and clarity of fruit with a tremendous amount of sheer density. I would check back in 5-7 years but expect improvement for an equal period thereafter. (Apr 2007)"
