94 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(tasted in 2023 in France; made by Daniel Thibaut; 50% pinot noir, 26% meunier, 24% chardonnay; 1998 base vintage; 12% reserves; 100% malolactic fermentation; disgorged January 2022; 9g/L dosage). This was an exercise by Émilien Boutillat to demonstrate the history and integrity of Brut NV and goodness gracious does it make a monumental statement! Beautifully seamless integration, with a core of dried peach and lemon layered wonderfully with brioche, nougat, vanilla patisserie, cocoa bean and many dimensions of spice, still upholding a medium yellow straw hue. A cheap entry non-vintage cuvée that has no right to show such astonishing beauty at 25 years of age, twenty years after it was ever intended to be consumed! An amazing testimony to the genius of Daniel Thibaut! (Edition VII; 2024)"

91-93 points Essi Avellan, MW: "55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay. Piper-Heidsieck's Brut is one of the most red grape-dominant grande marque non-vintages, with the broad blend of 50% Pinot Noir bringing depth, body and delicious spicy and toasty layers. Lemon-green in colour. The inviting nose has creamy fruit, strawberry, blood orange, dried flowers, baking spices and crunchy red apple. A fine toastiness emerges stronger with time in the glass. Friendly, fleshy and round lightweight palate. This will also reward further cellaring. Sublime in magnum. Dosage 8g/l. (Aug 2022)"

91 points Wine Spectator: "[$66 list] A vivacious Champagne, this shows flavors of black cherry, toast point, white peach puree and salted almond set on a finely detailed mousse. Creamy and mouthwatering on the spiced finish. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Drink now. (11/30/22)"

91 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "The style of Piper brut is friendly, approachable and zesty, one of the more reliable widelyavailable Grandes Marques NV wines lately. It's all about the play between bright yellow citrus zest – that Sézannais Chardonnay singing loudly? – playing with some sparky reductive grillé flourishes and just enough fleshy Pinot fruit, nougat and almond stuffing to support it. Impressive for a base year as tricky as 2017, so we might expect even more of 2018 and 2019 to come. Full of life! (Dec 2022)"

91 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Crisp and clean, with a classic bouquet of orchard fruits, toasted bread, and a touch of minerality, the NV Champagne Cuvée Brut was disgorged in March of this year. It's beautifully textured and has a solid mid-palate, good density, and a clean, crisp finish, all making for a high-quality Champagne to enjoy over the coming 5-7 years. Drink: 2019-2026. (11/5/19)"

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Balanced, full of white fruits and attractive acidity, this is a gently textured Champagne. It is rounded, the dosage giving softness. A wine that is a great apéritif style, it is ready to drink. (Dec 2022)"

90 points Wine & Spirits: "A clean Champagne, green-gold in color with the flavor of peaches just coming into ripeness, this wine's cool mineral savor brings to mind grapes sautéed in butter, as in sole Véronique, with which this wine would partner well. (Dec 2021)"

90 points Falstaff: "Light golden yellow. Nicely balanced aromas with notes of pear and apple, mineral aspect, sweet pastries. The palate is characterised by a medium-fine mousse, pleasant acidity, medium-long vibrant finish with citrus overtones, flowers and white stone fruit. (10/28/20)"
