92 points Wine Spectator: "[$75 list] Finely balanced and fresh with citrusy acidity, this shows a rich mix of wild cherry and strawberry fruit, grapefruit sorbet, oyster shell and roasted almond notes set on the velvety mousse. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Drink now. (11/30/23)"

90-92 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(base 2018; 56% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, 19% Pinot Meunier). For a few releases already, the Rosé Sauvage style has been in transition towards something far more elegant and contemporary. For this 2018 base (chef de cave Emilien Boutillat’s first), we see a notable change in colour. Now lovely medium-deep salmon shade derives from addition of 17% red wine from Les Riceys. Lots of character on the nose: lingonberry, cherry essence, spice and orange zest. The palate is rich and structured with a touch of tannin, despite the softening effect of the 8g/l dosage. I do like the direction of Rosé Sauvage is headed. (Jun 2023)"

91 points Natalie Earl (Decanter): "(50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay). Glowing deep cherry pink in colour, this really is a statement rosé Champagne, the aromas just as seductive as the hue. Strawberries, peaches and plums dominate the palate, with a spiced orange note to the finish. Its rich, full-bodied mouthfeel can stand up to most rich dishes. 20% of red wine was used in the blend and it was aged for 3 years before disgorgement. Alcohol 12.0%. Drinking Window: 2022-2027."

91 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "The NV Champagne Sauvage Brut Rosé is the first wine I tasted that Emilien produced from start to finish. It is elegant and floral, with rose petal, smoky incense, and candied peach. The palate is dry and inviting, with a fine mousse and refreshing acidity and tension. It is a versatile wine to enjoy alone or at the table. Drink: 2022-2032. (11/7/22)"

90 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. Piper have worked to maintain the deeper colour this wine is known for, but there has been a noticeable shift towards greater refinement in the style and it is now up to the standard of the brut (or even surpassing it!). Beautiful pomegranate and poached red fruits, but never feeling cooked or pastilley – just rolling in gentle almond cream and pastry but with brilliant precision. Just a tiny twist of that pomegranate seed grip, too. This is seriously refined NV Rosé, now with an extra snap or refreshment value. (2022)"
