96 points/'Podium Award,' Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine: "(tinto fino).Colour: bright cherry. Nose: complex, expressive, spicy, mineral, balsamic, herbs, red berry notes. Palate: elegant, full-bodied, long, great length. (2025)"

95 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "The bottled 2022 Flor de Pingus has purity and is open, expressive and pretty. There's probably 3% Garnacha here, and the aim is to achieve perhaps 5% with the new plantings. Garnacha in the same soils, rootstock and everything always has a lower pH than Tempranillo. Garnacha also has less tannin, so it helps to soften the tannic sensation from Tempranillo. It matured in French oak barrels, 20% of them new, because he believes the new vines benefit from the new barrels; this also allows the barrels to get ready for the next vintage of Pingus. This is clean and aromatic, with a balanced and tender palate; it's juicy and fine-boned, with very fine, elegant tannins and some grip. It's a very pretty version of Flor. They produced 98,000 bottles. It was bottled in late June 2024. Drink: 2026-2036. (6/19/25)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "(13.8%). Flor accounts for 90% of the production of Pingus and uses Tinto Fino grapes from 40 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 25 years in the village of La Horra. Commendably refined and floral in a very hot vintage, partly thanks to early picking, this is youthful, appealing and alluring, with nice tension and freshness, deftly integrated 20% new oak and flavours of plum, pomegranate and red cherry. 2026-2034. (2024)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Peter Sisseck has been farming his vineyards for his Flor de Pingus bottling biodynamically now for more than fifteen years and has eschewed using new oak for this bottling for several vintages now. The 2022 Flor de Pingus comes in at 14.5 percent alcohol this year and offers up a simply beautiful bouquet of black cherries, black plums, Cuban cigar wrapper, a lovely base of dark soil tones, woodsmoke and just a touch of oak influence from the used barrels. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and shows off stunning old vine depth at the core, with ripe, nicely-integrated tannins, excellent balance and grip and a long, nascently complex and very refined finish. This is a superb wine in the making, but it will demand some extended cellaring to reach its apogee. 2039-2075. (Mar/Apr 2025)"
