96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "The aromas of dried flowers and peaches are very cool and delicate. In fact they are only just beginning to unfurl. Super-focused and salty on the very concentrated, medium-bodied palate. Barely off dry, also thanks to the gigantic minerality that powers the elegant steamroller that is the finish. Sustainable. Drinkable now, but best from 2027. (10/19/24)"

92-94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 17 25. The 2024 Neuenberg N°17, as it is referred to in the central part of the label, is a bone-dry wine (with 2 g/l of residual sugar) made from fruit harvested in this prime Lieu-Dit forming the south-southwest facing, central part of the original Kupp hill (at the foot of the hill). This cask sample still shows a quite primary yet very attractive and complex nose of smoke, candied grapefruit, violet, minty herbs, smoke, and bergamot. The wine is very precise and focused on the delicately complex and layered palate. It is even taut, very long, and smoky. This is a very impressive dry Riesling in the making. 2032-2049. (Jul 2025)"

93 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling Ayler Kupp Neuenberg No. 17 comes from the part of the Ayler Kupp that turns southwest, further from the river. A lovely sense of green freshness, lemon balm and pale lemon peel dances on the nose. The palate presents pale peach, accentuated by a touch of lemon, coming together in a mild, bright, tenderly peach-fruited package. Wonderfully clean-cut and almost mild. Drink:2026-2056 . (Dec 2024)"
