97 points Anne Krebiehl MW (Wine Advocate): "The 2024 Riesling Ayler Schonfels Grosses Gewächs No. 11 is from a steep, windy cliff that drops down to the Saar. The nose initially is full of yeast, but air brings a touch of pepperiness. The palate is slender, stony and absolutely taut. It trembles with notes of arugula, pepper and lemon salt. The 2024 is so linear, clean-cut, wonderfully bracing and superbly precise. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2030-2065. (Oct 2025)"

96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Intense crisp pear and fennel aromas are married to restrained leesy creaminess and a wealth of dried herb flavors on the medium-bodied palate of this concentrated GG. Somehow this is simultaneously electrically fresh and silky in the extremely long finish. Limited production. Drink from release. (9/6/25)"

91-94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2024 Schonfels N°11, as it is referred to on the central part of the label (GG is written top left), is a fully bone-dry wine (with less than 1 g/l of residual sugar) made with fruit harvested on this steep south-east facing hill overseeing the Saar (legally part of the Ayler Kupp vineyard). This cask sample initially proves quite primary and intensely smoky, and only gradually reveals a refined nose of spices, herbal tea, smoke, ginger, white pepper, aniseed, and almond syrup. The wine has good presence and a light creamy texture, yet the finish is superbly focused and precise, with just a hint of presence and intensity. This is a superb GG in the making. 2029-2044. (Issue 77; Sep 2024)"
