94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru comes from Alvina Pernot's own parcel and contains a little more new oak than the other cuvées. This is not obvious on the mild-mannered nose, well-defined with citrus fruit, apple blossom and a touch of white peach. The palate is very well-balanced with a very effective reduction. It’s tensile and razor-sharp with a lovely twist of bitter lemon, imparting tension on the finish. Superb. Drink: 2026-2048. (Jan 2024)"
93 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A highly complex if again quite reticent nose also requires aggressive swirling to reveal the aromas of spiced apple, exotic tea, wet stone and a plenitude of floral wisps. Once again the mouthfeel of the middle weight flavors is positively gorgeous with even more minerality adding a sense of lift to the clean, dry, chiseled and crisp finale. This is excellent and very much constructed to repay a decade plus of aging. Classy juice. Drink: 2032+. (Jun 2024)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Exchanges of must for this and the Charlemagne. ‘One of the barrels a 450-litre was new is it’s a bit more marked by its elevage’). Perhaps a faint barrel spice on this nose but otherwise it’s broad and fine. Ooh – that’s a beauty in the mouth – volume and ultra-complexity. I’m not always convinced by Caillerets but I am by this wine! The finish not as immersive as some but very long all the same – potentially a great Caillerets! (12/24/23)"
