96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is a return after missing in 2021 and comes from an exchange in must. The very precise on the nose offers hints of brioche, chalk and yellow fruit, unwinding with each swirl of the glass. The palate is well-balanced, feisty and intense, with a lot of weight and grip on the back end. This is quintessential Chevalier-Montrachet; it will give 20-30 years of drinking pleasure. Fabulous. Drink: 2026-2050. (Jan 2024)"
94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Cool, pure and airy aromas are once again very restrained if exceptionally pretty with its array of Granny Smith apples, wet stone, spicy exotic tea, anise and elegant floral nuances. There is almost painful intensity if only average density to the focused and solidly powerful larger-scaled flavors that brim with minerality on the precise, sleek and impressively long finale. This needs more depth but young Chevalier is often seemingly a bit monotone; besides, the structure makes clear that this is very much built to repay extended keeping. Drink: 2034+. (Jun 2024)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A little more open than most with an effervescent freshness and energy to these top notes. There is more! In the mouth this is almost a hybrid of the previous two wines but with more energy. The middle is a seamless breadth of minerals and citrus with just a hint of green-citrus. Beautiful finishing clarity that just hums – maybe the finish of the Bâtard is more lasting but here is still a great, great wine! (12/24/23)"
